Open Access Week is an opportunity for the worldwide academic and research community to continue to learn about the potential benefits of Open Access (OA), to share what they’ve learned with colleagues, and to inspire wider participation in helping to make Open Access a new norm in scholarship and research.
In support of Open Access Week, Stauffer Library will host a series of events on Monday, October 18, 12:00-5:00pm in Stauffer (Speaker’s Corner & SL121)
- Opening Up Access. A funding agency panel discussion with the major Canadian public funding agencies (CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC), a webinar being held at OISE, University of Toronto
- Graduate Voices in Open Access.A panel discussion
- Academic Open Access Journals. A panel discussion about the opportunities and challenges involved in open access publishing, by Queen’s faculty editors of Open Access journals.
